Happy New Year everyone! It’s crazy to think that it’s 2018! 2017 saw some pretty big blog milestones. My old Blogger blog exceeded 100,000 views and this blog is over 50,000 views! I hit my 3-year blogiversary. I’ve got over 175 followers here on WordPress and though it’s not really a blog milestone they are connected since I post tons of
spoilers pics on there so I thought it would be worth mentioning that I hit 850 followers on Twitter. Now, saying all of this makes it sound like I’m vain and all I care about is views and followers. Not really I just never do much to celebrate all the milestones because I don’t want people to get the wrong impression so I thought I’d mention them all here.
As far as personal milestones go I’m doing better than I have in years thanks to the new medication I started last year and the ton of therapy I’ve done. I now have both sons in college which is a scary thing and also leaves me way more free time than I’ve had before so my blog has seen a lot more action. I also got a new furry friend my ferret Mischief to keep my days a lot more exciting.
But that’s enough of 2017 news right? This is 2018 and we’ve got simming resolutions to make! I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’ve recently become quite fascinated with the Sims 3. In addition to that, I had a comment on one of my Sims 2 stories a few weeks ago that made me feel a bit guilty that I haven’t gone back and played it in so long. And also that I have so many stories that just abruptly end like the one commented on did. To my utter disbelief instead of rolling their eyes at me playing other games than the Sims 4 most people have been very supportive and even nostalgic. Which brings me to my resolutions:
I resolve to have stories for all of the Sims games!
I resolve to focus on one story/rotation in each with less jumping around.
For now, the posting schedule is going to be Sims 3 on all days except for Tues and Thurs when I will have Sims 4 chapters. The reason for this is that I have sooo many Sims 3 chapters! At some point, this schedule will change. Especially once I jump back into Sims 2 and (yikes) Sims 1. The following are the stories to expect this year…
Sims 1– I’m not actually sure yet so stay tuned.
Sims 2– The Awesimsauce Challenge family will make their triumphant return!
Sims 3– Without a Compass Rotation
Sims 4– Bay Tides Rotation
And possibly finishing some stories in each but I don’t want to commit to that just yet. One last resolution that’s very important to me…
Support my friends!
I’ve been very bad about keeping up with everyone’s projects this year. I have plenty of reasons but in the end, it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that I am more diligent from here on out about reading blogs, watching YouTube videos, and attending Twitch streams of those people who are important to me.
These next 3 pics took a very long time to make even though they might not look like anything very exciting. Especially the Sims 2 one since I had to finally fix the graphics settings in order to get into the game and take the pic. Also, if you’re familiar with the Awesimsauce family and are confused… I lost about 6 days of play time since the last backed up save. At least I didn’t lose the save completely like the In Another Life one. The Sims 3 one almost drove me crazy because they are in two different households and I kept having to switch back and forth with Portrait Panel to control them. At first, I was going to have it in the Master’s house. I’m thrilled with the pic I ended up getting though! Worth every minute. I wanted to have one for Sims 4 all on one lot but apparently, I never put the teleporter mod back into my Mods folder and I didn’t feel like messing with it anyway. I will admit once I went into everyone’s households I was itching to play them again.
I hope you all have a wonderful year and I look forward to sharing my sims antics with you for another year!
All My Love, Lacie
