Rotation 1 Chapter 2
Here we are back with Rainy and Dozer. Real Dozer would much rather a blanket on the floor than a pet bed… and the human bed more than that. But he looks adorable in it nonetheless. Rainy’s telling him a story.
I decided to go check out the lighthouse with my buddy.
I wasn’t sure if he could go up there and was pleased when he did after calling him to me.
Now that I think about it I didn’t really pay attention to the scenery. It pales in comparison to this view!
We were just about to leave deciding we’d return after dark to check out the cemetery when Rosie appeared looking sad. She was hungry!
I’d actually bought one of the cheap bowls and set it outside for her but Dozer must have been hungry as well because he immediately dug in. Luckily, Rosie found Dozer’s bowl.
The house came with some training grounds out back so we gave it a try. That top right pic had me in a fit of giggles! My silly boy. He actually did quite well and only had two mistakes. I was a bit annoyed that Rainy got a tense moodlet over them instead of happy for the many things he did well.
And then he needed some fun and because I can’t seem to play with him we played fetch instead. He seemed to enjoy it much more this time.
I gave Rosie a treat and bid her farewell. We’ll see her again soon I’m sure.
This Salty Paws lot was surely meant to be a restaurant but of course, couldn’t be made one due to not everyone having the Dine Out pack. I barely had to change a thing!
We arrived and I had Rainy fill the automatic feeder I’d added while editing the lot.
We’d like a table for two alfresco, please!
Here comes my boy!
And what a good boy he is!
Right when she started eating he walked away so I didn’t get to have a cute pic of her giving him a bite.
Someone’s tuckered out!
Sadly, we only saw one ghost dog. His name is Captain Whitaker and he’s a premade. This is when it dawned on me that I hadn’t seen one single stray in my game thus far! I ragequit and removed the entirety of the mods folder from my game!
Later we went to the dog park to try and encourage some strays to spawn. We became companions! Awe!
This was a very busy day!
He ran out the doggie door and I wondered what on earth he was doing. That ball from the present he’d given me was out back and he went to chew on it.
I played the household containing Meggles, Oolie, and Ally to see if perhaps a bath might make the dog look less like a void demon. No such luck. I was much more concerned about the lack of strays though so we’ll leave this frustration for another time. Look at little Oolie hiding under the bed after her bath! So funny!
Oh no Dozer! And then… I look in the background and gasp!
Not only did we get our first Mayor sighting but even better… there’s my first stray!!!
We became friends with the little guy. Perhaps a cautious introduction would have been a better choice!
Bath time! I got a good laugh out of this.
Oh no! Dozer has developed a fear of toilets. In real life he’s afraid of the vacume and bags.
And so, it’s time for us to move on. I gave Rainy a more suitable makeover. I actually spent quite a long time trying to be as realistic as possible so that she looks more like me. I mourn not having the CC earrings but alas it is not meant to be. For now, I will be playing a very vanilla game.
I was just about to save and quit when I noticed Supriya and Blue walking near the house and sent Rainy to introduce herself to them. I can’t decide if I want to play the Delgato’s or Catarina Lynx next. I’m still holding out hope for the angry cat before I play the Heckings. Perhaps they’ll just have to adopt?
And so I leave my sweet baby behind. I’m sure we’ll see lots of him and Rainy out and about. And in other people’s games as well since they are on the gallery. If you’d like to add them to your game it’s Rainy & Dozer and my origin id is Rainydayz179.
Other misc stuff…
After they left the restaurant where I’d seen tons of new random townies after I’d spent hours adding friend’s simselves to the game I went to manage worlds and deleted them. Then I returned to Rainy and was going to send them to the lighthouse so they could see the graveyard. But I got this error. Which apparently SimGuruNick is investigating and I was able to give him the save file to research. I hope it helps! I had to roll back the save to before I’d deleted the randoms. Now I’m afraid to touch them!
This is what I was talking about when I said that she can’t play with Dozer! First, he acts confused. Then she acts like they do when giving a cautious introduction followed by the disgusted by puddles animation. Between this and the lack of strays and the million goofy random townies that I can’t delete I had to take a break from the game for a bit.
I’m sorry that this chapter is longer than usual! Text-wise it’s about the same but there are more images. I tried to make up for that by using more galleries of alike pictures than I normally do. I hope you’ve enjoyed this little look into the Sim life of Rainy and Dozer. I know I have! Now, I’m eager to move on to one of the other households!
